Hi Rocklyn,

After reading this e-mail, I sense, a slight time sensitivity (urgency)
with the initiating/completing the print queue setups. My schedule will
not allow me any time today, so, I will be planning to address this
tomorrow. I do have a several observations/questions... You note the
following queue requests:

     RETIPM a simplex queue
     RETIPM2 a duplex queue
RETIPMH a simplex queue (files will be held for subsequent
processing)
RETIPM2UP a simplex queue (files will be printed 2up and simplex)
RETIPM2UP2 a duplex queue (files will be printed 2up and duplex)

I believe, there are several questions around "what" queues need to be
set-up in MOIRA vs SAP R/3 and IPM.

Example: When we first tried to direct SAP R/3 duplex print requests to
the Athena Print queue, Athena had one queue and one of its characteristics
was "duplex". I forget how the printcaps look exactly; however, in SAP
R/3, there are two output definitions. Prior to last year APS server
upgrades, we defined the duplex output device definitions in SAP R/3
differently than we do today.

I am wondering... do we need two queues, as we usually do? one for
simplex; one for duplex and, the other functionality features are
controlled / driven via the software interfaces?

David is able to print 2up simplex/duplex via the existing Athena print
queues for some software he uses; however, not SAP R/3 print requests,
today. 2up may be available via SAP R/3 (today), not sure, it has been
sometime since we did any research on this question.

Thanks,
Theresa
