Gang,
I met for my 1-on-1 with Ferrara last week. He mentioned two biggies.
Due to limited resources for delivery efforts and the lack of desire
to develop code for the Mac, he is killing the work Jeff Harrington
planned to do to develop the Kerberos piece for the Mac client. Rocklyn,
you will need to finalize the IBM code development contract without
the trade for our Mac coding.
Additionally, both Theresa Regan & Susan Minai-Azary have raised significant
concerns with our plans to rollout desktop access to the central print
services. We need to build a stronger case for adding another application
to the desktop. I'd like to try to resolve our stance on the topic
before my next meeting with Bob on the 19th. Rocklyn, Lynne & I will
meet tomorrow at 11am in my office to discuss this further. Other
teams members are encouraged to attend if at all possible.
