Greetings,
Accomplishments:
1. Installed IPM on the production and test servers.
Includes setting up initial queue and printers and printing from nt and
2000 desktop machines.
Installed underlying fonts and hp printer drivers to allow "passthrough"
printing to hp printers.
2. Installed Administrative and Operator clients to nt and 2000 desktop
machines and used these interfaces to interact with IPM server successfully.
3. Installed InfoPrint select client to nt and 2000 desktop machines and
successfully printed to printer controlled by IPM.
4. Successfully tested port monitors interaction with MIT kerberos.
Goals:
1. Set up, test and move into production appropriate printers for the CAO
printing.
2. Test and configure client interfaces for operators and end user use.
3. Transfer knowledge to Nick for documentation of operator client.
4. Train operators in use of operator client
5. Install appropriate clients on CAO desktops so they can start
testing/using printing through IPM.
6. Move 8100s out of APS into IPM for production printing.
