Rocklyn,

Thank you for the pointer. I read the page and have a few questions. It
says "You can add Infoprint Manager servers to your SAP R/3 Version 3
print enterprise without modifying your existing SAP configuration.
Install an Infoprint AIX client on your SAP server system, and Infoprint
Manager will recognize your existing lpr-based print and query
commands."

Do you understand the "Infoprint AIX client" to be something that can
only be used with an SAP system running on AIX, or do they have an
"Infoprint AIX client" for the DEC (now Compaq) Alpha that will talk to
an Infoprint AIX Server? I fear it may be the former. If that is the
case, you should try to push IBM to provide a way that MIT can use the
same functionality with our SAP servers. Will the Enterprise Print
Delivery Team (try to) obtain an appropriate Infoprint Manager client
for our SAP environment?

The writeup refers to features in Infoprint Manager Release 3.2. Which
release of Infoprint Manager are we getting?

The writeup says "You can add Infoprint Manager servers to your SAP R/3
Version 4 print enterprise to print all data streams and receive
enhanced job status from the SAP R/3 system. To use this support,
configure your SAP devices to use Access Method E and define Infoprint
Manager as an Output Management System for your SAP R/3 Version 4
enterprise."

If this is accessible to us (i.e. it doesn't require SAP on AIX), it
would appear to be useful. Are you planning any tests to verify that
this will work in our environment?
