Good thoughts, Lynne. MEB, could you please capture these future
action items in some organized way (many of the issues raised are
clearly not specific to the Credit Union printing). They will need
to be addressed in the future.
Lynne & Rocklyn, I spoke with Kimberly Shooter at the Credit Union
yesterday. She's the COO and acting CEO of the CU. Their server
is not on the net and no plans to connect it to the net for security
reasons. So, we'll still need some sort of offline media to get the
CU monthly statement file from their server into IPM. We might want
to look at a new tape format using the backup tape device they use
as well as our own. I'd prefer DLT7000 but Kimberly thinks they
use 8mm tape for backup. She suggested speaking directly with the
CU's CIO. His name slips my mind right now but you can find it
on their Web pages.
This isn't as high up on the priority list as a bunch of other stuff
but needs to be captured as future work when the time is right. Rocklyn,
please add to the WBS. It would be useful for you to review the
WBS & timeline anyway, and update it as needed.
