Hi Lynne,
I believe, this example was used to try an illustrate what happens if/when
a print request is sent to a queue for which the user is not cleared to
direct print requests to.
The end-user has requested their report and sent it to an IPM queue. The
report takes some time to produce. Brio Query finishes; however, the
printout is rejected by IPM. One of the suggestions mentioned was if the
end-user sends the request to a file, they can easily submit and resubmit
the file for printing. Also, the web form requests the necessary
information at the time of submission.
I recently experienced this while trying to test "rec". "rec" came through
the moira to windsurf process at the end of February. I tested it from
Athena and SAP (SF2). From SAP, the print job completed as expected and is
no longer available to me from within SAP; however, it was rejected from
IPM because "tregan" is not within the IPM database. I understand that I
can add my information to the IPM database and will in the near
future. However, I would still need to re-request this report.
Thanks,
Theresa
