Accomplishments for the past period:
- Completed first monthly GL Statement run (~100K pages) with IPM.
- Finished cleanup of old/test queues on pillage and plunder.
- Finished license swap over between pillage and plunder.
- Changed attachment configuration for printer EP1 from BSD to AIX
to fix inaccurate page count problem.
- Started tracking daily disk usage on Pillage.
- Worked with IBM to get page counts & printer id on print jobs page for
operators while file is printing.
- Continue documenting system maintenance tasks.
- Worked on banner page information for jobs on pass through printers.
- Miki completed .htaccess mods to MIT Apache distribution.
- Met with Garry Zacheiss to plan automated Moira feeds, banner pages, and
zephyr installation.
- Designed automated email notice to submitters of jobs when accounting,
or delivery location information is missing.
- Added a note to "Central Print Service via the Web" about fields
available to end users. See:

- Requested OCP and ITAG to document pending concerns/issues.
- Continued working with ASST on large file problem on server caused
by a default AIX setting.
Goals for the coming period:
- Work on resolving ITAG and OCP issues/concerns.
- Get delivery address on banner page on postscript printers (carryover).
- Obtain updated VM print accounting data for business model (carryover).
- Get completed .htaccess mods installed into Plunder (carryover).
- Set up cron job to issue monthly accounting reports (carryover).
- Set up cron job to clean up filter logs (carryover).
- Get IBM to finalize display of page # and printer for actively printing jobs.
- Set up a temporary test web area on Plunder for staging of IBM work.
- Add link to job format information in job listing (carryover).
- Continue documenting the system maintenance procedures.
- Continue customer discussions wrt IPM rollout & network based
mainframe printing (ongoing).
- Resolve large file AIX default configuration problem with ASST.
Issues:
We still need to identify a backup/partner for Lynne's IPM work post
delivery in addition to identifying an organizational unit for the work.
Key learnings:
None.
Team dynamics:
Rocklyn was diverted in other directions during the reporting period
with minimal time available for printdel. Lynne will need to spend
more time on database work during the upcoming reporting period.
Additional comments:
We can't delivery the ongoing maintenance work until ITLT identifies
the resources and organizational fit. We're still waiting...
