Greetings,
After a lot of work, the EP1 printer is ready to be switched from Athena
Print Services control to IPM control.
I will be sending the mail to request the change today.
What does this mean for operations?
It means that the print jobs that go to EP1, the HP 8100 in E19, will be
being controlled by IPM. The print jobs will show up briefly on the print
jobs page.
In IPM the actual printer ep1-ipm should remain enabled.
The only other difference will be the banner page that comes out with the
output will be different. The only information will be the userid and
print time. I will be working on making a prettier page, but at least for
now the userid information is on the sheet.
CAO will be doing some testing to be sure that everything is still working,
other than that all output to this printer should be considered production.
Thanks
Lynne
