While I was running a test today, I only set one tray, and that
worked. There is a gotcha here that seems a little odd, I set the main
tray to 3 hole paper in IPM and set the tray on the printer to 3hole, and
loaded letter in the other trays and set tray 3 in IPM to letter.
When I printed a letter job, it printed on the three hole paper out of the
main tray. I will do some looking, but at least the partial answer is yes,
set the main tray on the printer and in IPM and you should be good to go to
print on 3hole paper, but you will still need to reset the tray on the
printer and in IPM before printing on letter paper.
