   Do you enjoy working with 6th - 8th grade girls?
Would you like to encourage girls to start thinking
                about their futures?

Then get involved with the KEYS TO EMPOWERING YOUTH program!

There will be 2 KEYs programs (9 am to 4 pm) this semester:
   * SATURDAY, MARCH 11
   * SATURDAY, APRIL 29

*What is KEYs?

        Keys to Empowering Youth (KEYs) is a student-initiated
program run through the Public Service Center at MIT. We will
have two 1-day workshops for 11 - 13 year old girls from Cambridge
and the greater Boston area. KEYs is dedicated to empowering
adolescent girls by promoting their self-confidence and encouraging
them to consider all different fields of study. The girls are
exposed to the excitement and importance of higher education through
contact with MIT women who are preparing for careers in science and
math-related fields. The day programs consist of problem-solving
activities, lab visits and discussions.

*Why should I get involved?

        KEYs is fun! You'll meet new people from the MIT community
as well as girls from the greater Boston area. It's a chance to
spend time with the girls and encourage them to pursue their interests.

*************************************************************************
If you would like to be a KEYs mentor at our programs and/or are
interested in organizing an activity or lab for the girls, please
send email to anitac@mit.edu.

Thank you! We hope to see you soon!

Anita and Priya
