SLAP coordinating meeting!

Tuesday - TOMORROW - August 21 - 7:30 pm -
Northeastern University - Curry Students Center - rm 346

SLAP coordinating meeting!
The Student Labor Action Project will be having a pre-fall semester
planning meeting to discuss how to coordinate our activism on and off
campus this fall. We will be discussing how to maintain solidarity and
strategy without meeting all the time this fall! Come hear about what
other schools are planning to do, talk about mobilization for September
30th, and get support for your organizing from other student
activists! For more information or a draft agenda reply to this e-mail or
call Jane at JwJ (617)-524-8778.

### ACTION ### in support of the Brockton Nurses Strike!

this Wednesday afternoon, we have to drive down, so call Jane at Jobs with
Justice at 617-524-8778 so we can figure out where to pick you up.

The nurses have been on strike all summer, and the hospital still refuses
to negotiate over mandatory overtime. Solidarity Summer has been called
upon to bring this struggle to the Chairman of the Board of the hospital at
his workplace. The Chairman, Fred Petti is also an administrator at
Stonehill College. Join us in visiting him and plastering the campus with
posters.
