Circle of Silent Witness against the Death Penalty
Tuesday, June 19th @7:30 am
Park Street Station
The American Friends Service Committee has joined with the religious
community, citizens and abolitionist of Terre Haute Indiana to
create a Circle of Silent Witness, on Tuesday the 19th of June at
7:30a.m. The circle is meant to be silence in remembrance of Gaza's
victims and all victims of violence, and a witness to end the cycle
of violence, which is only continued by the death penatly. We are
asking people to join us at the Park St. Station as our government
prepares to kill in order to demonstrate our solidarity, and make a
call to stop the death penalty across the country. You and your
community can join this campaign to stop the death penalty now.
Last week it was Timothy McVeigh, next week it will be Juan Raul
Garza. In the weeks and months that follow we will witness a steady
procession of Black and Brown murders perpetrated by the government
in our name. We will be the Circle of Silent Witness at the
Park Street Station on the date of each execution until they stop.
You will be notified of the dates. The following are the names
and ethnicity of those on federal death row:
