I know that peace-list@mit.edu is low-traffic, but I think it would be good to forward this article to it:
I am a devout Bush opponent, but I definitely approve of his decision here:

Basically, Bush declared that the Navy will end its bombing exercises on the island of Vieques, an issue that has pitted Puerto Ricans and others against the US military. Definitely a good thing!
Unfortunately, there's a little bit of foot-dragging (Vieques will be used for another two or so years until a replacement is found) and the reasons for the decision were a little shady but it's at least a good start.
