PLEASE FWD WIDELY!!

"The Connection," a radio show aired by WBUR, was hosted today, June 5,
by Robert Siegel was entitled "George Bush's Tax Plan."

(you can listen with realaudio or hear it tonite at 8pm.)

Please contact the shows producers:

and tell them that when a guest uses a phrase like
"keep your cotton picking hands in your own pockets"
that the moderator should call the guest on their overt
racism, classism, and utter lack of sensitivity to the
history of slavery and its connection with the cotton
industry in this country.

Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform
said on the show:

"This is What's so important about this debate, all these
people who have ideas about how to spend other people's money,
were told by the American people, "No, keep your cotton-picking
hands in your pockets and out of other people's pockets." The
thing that makes me so happy about this country is that we said
no to a tax whose only interest is envy and class hatred. The
politics of East Germany is going to die with East Germany. In
the United States you cannot get up and say we are going to loot
other people and share their money and win elections."

And contact Norquist directly and tell him "thank you" for exposing
the racism behind the tax "reform" that is usually covered over by
more careful spin-masters. Thank him for recognizing that gay and
lesbian partnerships should not be penalized, but then ask him to
extend that understanding to others who face oppression in this
society, in particular, the American descendents of slaves.
