Friends, Colleagues, and Fellow Activists,
On FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH, members of the Anti-Capitalist Convergence
(CLAC), in Montreal, and the Summit of the Americas Welcoming Committee
(CASA), in Quebec City, will be visiting Harvard Divinity School. They will be
presenting two workshops I hope you all can attend:
Noon-1:10 pm in Andover Hall "A" room:
"FTAA and the Summit of the Americas: An Introduction"... A workshop
introducing the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), under negotiation at
the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City in April, 2001. A range of events,
including a convergence to coincide with the Summit, are being planned by
social justice groups across the continent in order to protest economic and
environmental injustices and imperialism.
1:20-2:30 pm in Andover Hall "A" room:
"Anti-Racism and the Colors of Resistance"... A workshop addressing the
issue of diversity in the "anti-globalization" movement.
The workshops are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Please attend one or both
and feel free to bring your own lunch. This event is sponsored by Harvard
Divinity School Students for Environmental Justice (SEJ) and HDS's MAFTAA

workshops will be held in Andover Hall, the main divinity building.

Saturday, Feb. 17th: Gender and Globalization Panel, with food and reception,
7pm at the Lucy Parsons Center Bookstore, 549 Columbus Ave., in the South End.

Orange Line...walk 1.5 blocks up Columbus going east (towards posh end),
