Subject: Buses are booked
OK, folks, it's official. The Mass. Green Party has reserved two 54-seat
buses to go to D.C. to protest the inauguration of George W. Bush. The
cost will be $50 per person, round trip. The bus will leave Boston
(probably from Charles St.) around 9 PM on Friday, Jan. 19, arrive in
plenty of time for the parades and ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 20, and
leave that afternoon to arrive late Saturday night/Sunday AM.
Please let others know, and have people who DEFINITELY want to go e-mail
me directly, so I can keep a register of who is planning to go. We can
cancel the second bus if there's not enough interest, but if we can't
get 100 people to go to D.C. for this, we just might be in the wrong
line of work!
The buses are very well-appointed, with reclining seats, VCR and TVs,
restroom, individual reading lights, fans, etc. The driver is the same
guy who drove us to Madison Square Garden (Kelly will remember Silvio)
and he's the best.
I hope we can get this together quickly. Please get back to me with some
names, or have people get in touch with me directly. If you need to call
me, I'm at 983-5487.
