Please join the Coalition for Justice/Stop Ashcroft Campaign for a rally to
protest John Ashcroft's nomination to Attorney General. As the Judiciary
Committee begins its first day of confirmation hearings in Washington, D.C
for Attorney General, a broad coalition of community, civil rights, women's
rights, social service and labor groups along with concerned citizens will
hold a rally in Boston to protest John Ashcroft's nomination. The coalition
will unveil Ashcroft's "Bill of No Rights," highlighting some of his
extremist positions that pose a dangerous setback to civil liberties and
social justice. We will call on the US Senate to reject this nomination and
for Senator Edward Kennedy and Senator John Kerry to play leadership roles
in opposing this confirmation.
