To Anyone Who May Be Interested:
Andrew Miller of Amnesty International USA (Advocacy Director, Latin
America and the Carribean) and Kathleen Gillespie (Amnesty International
Legislative Coordinator) and others are meeting SUNDAY for brunch, to
discuss follow-up work on human rights in Colombia.
They will discuss number of possible actions to promote human rights in
Colombia, and responses to the recent U.S. aid package ('Plan Colombia').
They invite anyone from the MIT and Wellesley community interested in
continued efforts to promote human rights in Colombia, a current focus of
Andrew's office.
The brunch will be Sunday, Dec 3rd, with participants meeting
(probably) 10 AM at Amnesty's Somerville Office. A follow-up email is
coming, with details as soon as I have them.
