Threatened with arrest for attending, with a ticket, at an "alternate
campus location." From CNN...
An official with the Nader
campaign
said a student gave
the
candidate a
ticket to view the debates
from an
alternative viewing site on
the
campus, not in the debate
hall itself.
Nader, upon trying to enter
the
alternative viewing site, was
approached by an official
from the
Commission on Presidential
Debates, which is sponsoring the event, and told that
he had to leave the
grounds, regardless of whether he had a ticket, Nader
campaign staffers said.
The candidate, who has protested his exclusion from
participating in the
debates, was threatened with arrest if he did not
comply with the
commission's demand, his own campaign officials said.
Nader then took a bus to the subway stop at the
University of Massachusetts.
