Dear Friend,
Mass. Climate Action Network (MCAN) invites you to our first Climate Speakers
Training Workshop - Saturday, Oct 7, Boston - to hone our words, facts and
arguments on the climate crisis.
Participants are to bring a ten minute draft speech (op-ed or letters to the
editor) to present and improve with help from experienced coaches and small
group workshops. Ross Gelbspan and others will discuss techniques and
challenges of speaking on climate change.
While our emphasis is on public speaking, we hope to include sessions on
media skills, lobbying public officials, op-ed's and rapid letter writing
response, Also, we shall provide a Climate Speakers Briefing Manual with
information, advice and resources for speaking out on global warming. Further
program details and location will follow.
FYI, see below a listing for the Climate Speakers Training, and notice for an
MCAN presentation on "New England Climate Solutions" by Dr. Stephen Bernow,
