The Association for India's Development- MIT/Boston Chapter announces

The AID Conference 2000

May 27-29
At MIT, Cambridge.

Highlights of the Conference:
1.	Guest Speakers Nafisaben Barot (Drought and Water management,
Uthhan, Gujarat), Dr. Kamaljit Bawa (Forests and bio-conservation, ATREE)
and Mythili Sivaraman (Women's empowerment, AIDWA)
2.	Variety Cultural program featuring Aparna Sindhoor, a theatre and
dance activist,as well as several
amateur artists
3.	Workshops on focused topics like "Sustainable living", "Micro-credit
initiatives"  and "Activist Theater"
4.	Discussions on new grassroots initiatives in India

While a few sessions may be related to organizational aspects of AID, most
of the sessions will be of interest to anyone interested in grassroots
