David Rovics in Concert!
Tuesday, August 12th
7:00pm
The Lucy Parsons Center
549 Columbus Ave
Boston, MA
"Listen to David Rovics."
--Pete Seeger
Acclaimed Singer/Songwriter David Rovics has made
quite a name for himself as both an incredible
musician and an incredibly strong voice for social
justice. His songs are at once stirring, humorous, and
thought provoking, and they take aim at injustice and
poverty, war and globalization, racism and class
distinction.
On Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00pm, David will be
playing a benefit concert at the Lucy Parsons Center
(a great bookstore), 549 Columbus Ave, Boston MA. The
proceeds will go to benefit the Boston ABC's Activist
Defense Fund, which provides assistance for Boston
activists.
Evan Greer, a young political songwriter from the
Boston area, will be opening the show.
"Evan Greer probably the most talented up-and-coming
singer/songwriter and poet to date." --Alan Corkish,
the New Edge Hill Journal
Tickets will be sold at the door on a sliding scale of
$5 to $12. No one will be turned away for lack of
funds.

Parsons Center, go to www.evangreer.com and click on

"In these days of ongoing neo-conservatism he carries
the torch of dissent and protest -- in fact if the
great Phil Ochs were to come back from the dead
tonight he'd probably be hailed as the new David
Rovics." -Andy Kershaw, BBC Radio 3
