                    Friday, April 25, 8:00 pm
                          Room 4-231

                MIT Social Justice Cooperative
                           presents:

                 THE ATOMIC CAFE (1982, 92min)

A terrific documentary about pre-duct tape cold war propaganda:
"Compilation of 1960's films about what to do in case of a
Nuclear attack and the effects of radiation, also footage of
troop tests of the exposure to an atomic bomb." Especially
insightful in the context of current events as it illuminates
how propaganda is used to deceive the public.

                            AND

                   ARMS FOR THE POOR (25min)

A documentary about the military industrial complex selling
weapons (ranging from land mines to F16s) to poor third world
countries run by dictators.

After the movies, folks will hang around to discuss ideas about
future anti-war actions.
