WHAT: Death & Taxes Resistance Festival IV
WHERE: March from the IRS to Raytheon Headquarters in Andover, MA
(transportation provided!)
WHEN: Saturday, April 12, noon
----------
War rages on in Iraq, thousands march on Washington, and right next door
in Andover, MA, the Raytheon Corp. continues to churn out Tomahawk missiles
and a cost to you and me of $1 million a piece. So far in this war, we've
used 725 of them. Sounds like a good time to be in the war business. Of
course, you would think that a corporation so dependent upon the government
for its survival would pay its fair share of taxes, but for the last five
years, Raytheon has paid only 8% in taxes!
Join us for the fourth annual Death and Taxes march in Andover, MA. Andover
is just a quick 45-minute jaunt up 93, and the march will start at the IRS
and end a quarter-mile later at Raytheon headquarters.
We're organizing cars to leave from MIT, so if you'd like to go, please
e-mail me ASAP and let me know whether or not you can drive.

4th Annual Death & Taxes Resistance Festival April 12, 2003
Join us for a Celebration of Life as we march from IRS to Raytheon (Only
1/4 Mile) with music, puppets, the anarchist quack block, a Jedi Knight
contingent and more.
Saturday April 12, 2003
Bring your family, friends, signs, puppets, musical instruments, costumes
and rubber ducks. Gather at Noon in front of IRS, RT. 133 Andover,
followed by a march to Raytheon.
Raytheon is the third largest military contractor in the US and is just a
few miles from Lawrence, one of the poorest cities in Massachusetts.
While the federal government gives Raytheon tens of billions of dollars
to build
weapons components in Andover, Lawrence's schools, low-income housing
programs and social services agencies are under-funded.
Join us as we continue highlighting the destructive priorities of our
national budget, where currently $.53 of every tax dollar goes for
militaristic purposes.
Activists from out of town needing housing should call ahead.
