students--

when you walk out today

(when you wake up today) remember this is not a student walkout.

this is not a student movement. nor a peace movement, nor an anti-war movement, nor even a movement at all. today, like all days, is just people moving.

many kinds of people may move today, in ways you might not expect--

cabdrivers
store clerks
"rednecks"
janitors
veterans
bus drivers
businessmen
police
people you pass on the street.

when you engage "strangers" today, be aware of them at every moment. find their pace. what are they thinking? where are they at? wherever they are, try to go there. if you do this, you will find you are able to lead them...
