Just wanted to send you all a quick note that a compromise solution has
been found to the placement of trailers to house faculty and staff from
building 18 during construction. The trailers will be place at a 45
degree angle between bldg. 18 and the Caulder sculpture. Unfortunately,
currently the space between the trailers and the sculpture is a mere 2
feet. The architect from the construction company is working to try and
increase the space between the sculpture and the trailer to between 3 and
four feet. The work will start early next week. The trailers will be
placed using cranes.
While this battle is won, we must continue the fight to make our voices
heard at MIT!
