Social Justice Cooperative will be holding a general meeting
When: Tues, March 4, 7pm
Where: room TBA
There is a lot going on for advocates for social justice these days:
stop the war in Iraq
prevent further genocide in Palestine
remind folks that no democracy was bombed into existence in Afghanistan
protect immigrants here
protect our bill of rights
preserve affirmative action
and many other things
The good news is lots of folks are getting activated and energized to wage
these very necessary battles.
So, we in the Social Justice Cooperative need to plan and figure out how we
want to strategize and prioritize for ourselves in these coming crazy months.
We will start with a brief introduction for new folks about the values of
SJC and how we make decisions, give updates on what folks have been up to in
these various struggles, brainstorm ideas for what else we should be working
on, and come up with a strategy for how we want to move forward for the rest
of the term.
