Please spread the word about the following talk. I have
seen her speak in videos and she is incredible. Particularly
those white among us, but really ALL of us, need to learn more
about the ways we lend weight to prejudice and how we can
work to reject it. And she is really a powerful speaker.

Jane Elliot developed the "Brown Eyes/Blue Eyes" experiment for her 3rd grade
class following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She believes
the experiment proves that racism is a learned behavior and not a genetically
inherited one.
Television documentaries of Jane Elliot’s work include the Peabody Award
winning "The Eye of the Storm", and "A Class Divided," as well as "The Eye of
the Beholder" and a PBS Frontline Series, which both garnered Emmy Awards.
Elliot continues to guide the nation in unlearning the habit of discrimination.
