It seems that a worker who is a member of SEIU was recently unfairly fired from
L.L. The grievance process has been initiated. But the union feels the MIT
community should be involved at some level.
Liz Steinhauser, community organizer with SEIU and a great activist, has
scheduled a meeting tomorrow (Wed) at 2:30 in a room in the east campus. Some
faculty will be present and she's asked for 3-5 interested students to
participate in the strategy session as well.
Please let me know if you would like to help out. MIT must respect workers' rights!
