Hi everyone,
Part 1, last minute travel advice. Part 2, useful protest
advice.
if you want to go to NYC to protest the war tomorrow,
but you don't yet have travel accomodations, here are
some ways that it may be possible to go:
1. ANSWER has a few seats left on their bus. Call
617-522-6626 (cost $30). Buses leave from the Roxbury
Community Crossing parking lot at Roxbury Crossing on
the Orange line at 6 AM, return Saturday night.
2. Greyhound has $40 roundtrip tickets, 1 800 231 2222.
The protest will be on 1st Ave, north of 49th St starting at
noon. There will be a Boston Campus feeder march: meet in front of St
Patrick's Cathedral, near 50th and 5th (nearest subway is Rockefeller
center). That's pretty close to the actual rally destination, so we
are going to give everyone plenty of time to get there and kick off at
11:45.
Make your own signs tonight! Wear you Nerds Against War Tshirts
(pinned to your coat if you have to)! WEAR SEVERAL LAYERS OF CLOTHING
EVERYWHERE AS IT IS GOING TO BE DAMN COLD!!!!! That means at least
2 pairs of socks, thermal underwear, thick scarves, hats, thick
mittens over your gloves, etc. I am not at all joking about this.
