Tonight’s broadcast of Now with Bill Moyers featured the leak of a new bill some call the "Patriot Act II." Among other things, the passing of the bill would limit the rights to information for citizens while granting virtually limitless powers to the government (executive branch and police) for obtaining information.

With this bill as law:

- Police could make arrests IN SECRET

- Corporations would have more secrecy from the public: They would no longer be required to say what kind of chemical pollutants they are producing.

You can find a transcript of the interview and the full bill online at:

http://www.pbs.org/now/politics/lewis.html

For those interested in seeing the program, it will air again on Sunday at 11 am on channel 44.

- Celeste
