British Journalist speaks on US Middle East Policy.
"Ask all you like about 9/11 - but for heaven's sake don't ask why"
A talk by Dr. Robert Fisk, foreign correspondent for The Independent of London
Wednesday, February 5th
7:00 p.m.

Dr. Fisk will offer the Boston community a critical examination of
September 11th as America debates war with Iraq. He will also discuss the
response of American journalism to Middle Eastern issues important to the
public in the wake of the September 11th attacks.
In his years as a journalist, Dr. Fisk has covered the Iranian
revolution, the Iran-Iraq war, the Persian Gulf war, and the conflict
in Algeria. He is a seven-time winner of the British International
Journalist of the Year award, a two-time winner of the Amnesty
International UK Press Award, and a winner of the John Hopkins
SIAS-CIBA Prize for International Journalism. Dr. Fisk is also the
author of three books: The Point of No Return: The Strike Which Broke
the British in Ulster (1975), In Time of War: Ireland, Ulster, and
the Price of Neutrality (1982, 1983), and Pity the Nation: Lebanon at
War (1990, 1992).
