ANTI-WAR PROTEST ON NATICK COMMON
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
GAS CAN MARCH February 2, 2003

Join us for the GAS CAN MARCH on Sunday, February 2 in Natick, MA. We are
protesting George W. Bush's threatened war for oil by carrying empty
gasoline cans in a march to the US Army Bio/Chemical Command Center Labs.
No lives must be sacrificed for oil: not those of US or Iraqi servicemen
and women, nor the lives of Iraqi civilians.
When: RALLY and MARCH Sunday, February 2 at noon.
Where: The GAS CAN MARCH begins with a rally at noon on Sunday, February 2
on Natick MA Common (Rts. 27 & 135) and continues to the Army Bio/Chemical
Command Center. Natick Common is one mile from Route 9. Parking is not
allowed near Army base so plan to park downtown. Marchers will gather at
the Natick Common at noon and continue down the sidewalk to the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial Bridge where a short, silent vigil will take place at the
Memorials for Natick residents who were killed in WW II, Korea and Vietnam.
The march will proceed to the Kansas Street intersection (1/4 mile from RT
9) where the nonviolent demonstration against US aggression will take
place.
Why: A military strike against Iraq will destabilize the region, divert
billions of dollars away from under-funded domestic programs, risk the
lives of our sons and daughters in uniform, target Iraqi civilians while
provoking terrorism against American civilians here at home. This peaceful,
protest march from the Natick Common to the Natick Army base will be one of
hundreds of protest marches throughout the country.
NOTE: DO NOT BRING GASOLINE CANS TO THE RALLY AND MARCH. Empty gas cans
will be provided.
