Subject: vote today in primaries!

Hi!

Everyone should vote today. The state government is
predicting one of the lowest voter turnouts on record,
probably under 30%:
http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&q=%22low+voter+turnout%22+massachusetts.

Do your part to prove them wrong, and vote.

Cambridge Elections office:

Somerville Elections office:
http://www.ci.somerville.ma.us/voter/default.asp

listing of candidates for state office:
http://www.state.ma.us/sec/ele/eleidx.htm

i'm hoping someone out there knows of a website somewhere
that has put together a list of the platforms for each
candidate? or maybe you have already done this research
that i should've done weeks ago?

or, do you know who i should vote for? i live in
cambridgeport. :)

thanks!
eric

ps. some enterprising soul should put together a website
that collects together all the info needed for voting
intelligently in local elections. it wouldn't be that hard
to do with some foresight:
- browse to each candidates web presence and grab their
platform
- send email to candidates who don't have a clear platform
on the web
- send snail mail to candidates who don't have email
address
- put links for maps to find voting location, sample
ballot, etc.
