Hi all!
The MIT Social Justice Cooperative, hereafter abreviated SJC,
is going to have our first meeting this term tomorrow (Tuesday)
at 5:30 PM in room 5-232.
If you'd like to come, but this time is horribly bad for you,
please let peace-request@mit.edu know what times would better.
To get to room 5-232: turn right after entering from the steps
on Mass Ave, down the hallway past the ships and penguin,
up the stairs and there you are!
Activities this term will include:
*** Planning talks and events, showing films,
*** Designing making and selling the coolest social justice Tshirts
on the planet,
*** creative postering,
*** writing articles for the Tech and other papers,
*** producing radio pieces,
*** possibly holding a bakesale,
*** many field trips as far as DC, Georgia and Nevada,
*** and anything else you can think of ...
Overall agenda items for this term:
-challenge the dominant economic model of the WB/IMF/WTO/NAFTA/FTAA ....
-stop wars overseas, prevent war in Iraq
-prevent nuclear devastation of the North American continent
-force the School of Assassins in Georgia to close
and a few others. Together we can do it!
