For the past four years, the time it takes to acquire a MIT
undergraduate degree, Lori Berenson ('91 Music/Anthropology)
has been suffering in a maximum security Peruvian prison.
And while we look forward to a family, a career, to our own
aspirations, Lori faces a LIFE sentence of isolation, handed
down to her by a hooded military tribunal, without a trial.
-------------------------------------------------------------
<www.freelori.org> perspectives from her family, published
viewpoints and articles, and even the Peruvian government.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Learn more about Lori's situation, then imagine traveling in
another country, compelled to defend your deeply held values:
people should be able to participate in their own governance!
What would you want your classmates at MIT to do were you to
be imprisoned for your beliefs? Please come support Lori's
parents and unite in an effort to bring her home. Thank you.
