Greetings,
I wanna recommend two films to everyone who's in town. Both are independent,
powerful, excellent movies.
Tomorrow (Tues) at the Brattle in Harvard Sqr, Female Perversions plays at
2:30 and 7:00pm. This film is very intense, dealing with issues of female
power, sexuality, patriarchy, etc. If you plan on going, I highly recommend
you check out the writeup at the link below. If not, you risk missing some of
the underlying themes.

On Wednesday at the Brattle, they have Life and Debt, the recent documentary
about Jamaica and the IMF/WB. This one is also very well made and reveals
some of what goes on behind the scenes when a poor country must get foreign
capital. The Brattle had it for two weeks back in March and pretty much sold
out all the shows. So they're bringing it back Wednesday only at 3:30, 5:30,
7:30 and 9:30.
Life and Debt will also show for FREE as part of the alternative commencement
activities. Check it out Thursday at 7:00pm in Bldg 54 Room 100. Doors open
at 6:00 b/c director Stephanie Black will be there for Q&A afterwards, to be
followed by a reggae show with Yami Bolo.
