Have a pile of change in the front of your desk drawer that you never use?
Why not put it towards making a statement about some of the decisions
that get made for us around here? I like to think of it as MIT's
version of the boitic baking brigade (http://www.asis.com/~agit-prop/bbb/)
with the proceeds going to some manner of charity.

Only you can decide whether, for whom and how often to vote, but many of us
are pulling for the top contender at the moment, the man who wants to turn
this year's commencement assembly of 1,000's of grads and our family and
friends, into accomplices in legitimizing one of the main vehicles for
colonization of Trans-national capital with its resultant creation of poverty
and turmoil, the World Bank. That's right, Pres. Vest, ignoring the
recommendations of the commencement committee (why do they waste people's
time with even having such a committee?), unilaterally chose the World
Bank President, James Wolfenson, to be the only commencement speaker -
he said something about debate and dialogue, but most graduations I have
seen only have a one way sound system. So, on behalf of the Zapatistas,
the Water Warriors of Cochabamba, the Friends of the River Narmada, and
the Rwandans who were slaughtered in the wake of the social upheaval
precipitated by the WB engineered coffee economy and coffee price colapse-
(hadn't those spiffy economists ever learned about glut?), consider
tossing a coin in the Vest jar.

(Sorry about my grammatical abuses - I like to excuse it as stream-of-
consciousness activism, but I will blame it on thesis writing...)
