<P>here's a fairly quick and easy way to help the Star Market campaign.&nbsp; Email me if you have any questions or concerns.</P>
<P>-jesse<BR><BR>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Hello, </P></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;We would like to thank for your continued support of Shaw's/Star
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Market
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;workers efforts to organize. As many of you know, Shaw's/Star
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Market is
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;owned by British multi-national corporation, J. Sainsbury. We would
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;like to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;ensure that the British headquarters is aware of the U.S. labor
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;violations
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;its U.S. subsidiary, Shaw's/Star Market, has committed. A formal
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;complaint
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;against the company was issued on October 26, 2001 by the National
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Labor
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Relations Board, an agency of the federal government.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;We are asking members of the community to e-mail J. Sainsbury's to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;request
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;that they follow the laws that so many U.S. workers have fought to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;achieve
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;over the years protecting our right to organize.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Below you will find three email addresses. Please cut these into
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;address line of you outgoing e-mail.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;environ@sainsburys.co.uk
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;media.office@sainsburys.co.uk
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;sainsburys_internet_team@akqa.com
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Please cut the letter below into your e-mail. This letter is
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;requesting the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;company adhere to U.S. labor laws. At the end please add your name
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;and/or
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;organization.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;J. Sainsbury
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Board of Directors
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Dear Board Members,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;On October 26, 2001 the National Labor Relations Board, an agency
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;of the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;U.S. federal government, issued a formal complaint against Shaw?s
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Supermarkets for alleged violations of federal labor law.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;The complaint is the result of charges filed by United Food and
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Commercial
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Workers International Union, who are assisting workers at your Star
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Markets
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;to unionize.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;I urge you to recognize your employees? legal right to organize and
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;agree
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;to:
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;· Refrain from further violations of employee rights protected by
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;National Labor Relations Act.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;· Allow employees to receive information from the union without
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;management
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;interference.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;· Allow employees to freely discuss workplace concerns, as you
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;allow them
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;to discuss other issues at work.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;&gt;Sincerely,</div><br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href='http://g.msn.com/1HM205401/i'>http://explorer.msn.com</a>.<br></html>
