Butterfly is a documentary of Julia Butterfly Hill, who sat on a
treetop platform for 2 years in protest of logging. It features

Professor Meyer will describe how the environment in the United
States has interacted with its human population, from prehistory
until the present-day Bush administration.

Carnival, concert and workshops
10am-7pm on Stratton (W20) Steps
Plant handouts (10am-4pm)
Seeds and cuttings, free for the community, to freshen up people's
rooms and offices. Soil, pots, seeds and cuttings will be
assembled by SAVE members for passers-by, and we'll also tell you
how to take care of your plants. Plants will include flowering
plants, cacti, herbs and general greenery like ferns and ivy
Bike workshop (10am-4pm)
People helping you learn how to take care of your bike
Living lightly workshops (10am-4pm)
15-30 minute hands-on workshops on how to reduce environmental
impact in our daily lives. Instructions on how to save water
while showering or cooking, how to save energy, what to look out
for when going shopping. Will probably involve making something
participants can carry back home.
Concert by David Rovicks
4pm, Kresge Oval and Stratton Steps
David is a local folk musician, and with a friend will entertain
those who come to listen.

Charles River cleanup
Meet at 9:00 AM, Stratton steps
Walk to BU boathouse, get bags and equipment from Charles River
Cleanup association, and then go down Charles River bank to help
make the river clean.
