Hello to all those who know their way around Cambridge:
Following the Earth Day theme, as a guide to environmentally-conscious
people living near MIT, I'd like to construct a handy map of Cambridge and
Sommerville indicating the locations of green things in the vicinity. If
would greatly appreciate it if you could reply to me with suggestions of
people, places, businesses, etc. that you frequent from the following
categories:
second-hand stores for clothing, books, etc.
cooperative businesses
farmers' markets and sources for organic, healthy, and all-natural foods
vegetarian and environmentally conscious places to eat out
green open spaces, especially good bike trails, etc
miscellaneous useful ecologically correct businesses like cleaning
services, bike repair places, garden stores, etc.
I am only a freshman and come from the other end of the country so I
totally don't know my way around. I need lots of help! If you come up with
any other suggestions, please let me know!
thank you ever so much!
Jessica
