I am a Jew.
I just read another forwarded email about what "we" are doing and it made me so angry, I picked up the phone and called the Israeli embassy. Of course they were closed for the night so I had to write them an email. There are various not-quite-related public email addresses you can write to. You can find them here

I will be at the demo on Friday.
I am worried that some elements there will take this as an excuse to voice anti-semitism, but I will be there anyway.
The state of Israel was established by and for the Jewish people, and to much of the world it is a symbolic stand-in for the entire Jewish people. Those of us who do not live there, cannot continue to allow it to act in this way. It is cruel, it is hypocritical, and it is counterproductive for Jews, for the state of Israel and for the entire world.
Give them a call or email today, and come out on Friday. Just remember THIS IS NOT AN "ANTI-ISRAEL" DEMONSTRATION. Because that is how some people, both overexcited participants and sensationalistic reporters, will want it to be. It is a PEACE demonstration.
The Palestinian side is very far from blameless, and I wish that the A.N.S.W.E.R. people would have acknowledged that somehow in their call to action. It is no more appropriate to have a "pro-Palestinian" demonstration now than it would be to have a "pro-al-Qaeda" demonstration. But that should not stop us demonstrating for peace.
