Shripad Dharmadhikary, was a leading activist with the Narmada Bachao
Andolan (Save the Narmada) Movement for over 12 years. Shripad
was actively involved in the negotiations to establish the World
Commission on Dams, and in monitoring the Commission's work. He was
trained as an engineer at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
