Swing by the student center on Monday to support Jill Stein for Governor
and James O'Keefe for treasurer.
The MIT Greens will have a booth for collecting (1) signatures to get
these candidates on the ballot and (2) Clean Elections campaign
contributions. Supporting democracy and the cleansing of corporate
influence in politics is as easy as signing your name on your way to
lunch. Your support is needed and appreciated!
***********************************************************************
This election, the Massachusetts Green Party has several clean
elections candidates vying for statewide office.
In order to get on the ballot, signatures for a ballot petition must be
gathered. In the governers race, Jill Stein already has quickly gathered
over 2,000 of the needed 6,000 signatures. However, both candidates need
more. IN ORDER TO SIGN THE BALLOT PETITION YOU MUST BE EITHER A
REGISTERED GREEN PARTY MEMBER OR AN INDEPENDENT
The Stein and O'Keefe campaigns must raise a certain number of qualifying
contributions ($5-$100) in order to be eligeable for Clean Elections
Funds. IN ORDER TO GIVE A QUALIFYING CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION, YOU NEED ONLY
BE A MASSACHUSETTS REGISTERED VOTER.
There will be more literature on the candidates, more clean elections
information, and voter registration forms at the booth.
See you there.
