A search on thomas.loc.gov reveals no recent activities on
constitutional amendments. The closest thing there was
was some fatherhood bills and IRS marriage penalty stuff.
Therefore, it was eminently possible the Alliance for Marriage
proposed an amendment with a friendly legislator. However,
there are many hurdles for a const. amendment to go through
before it becomes law, if you still remember your US history.
Not the least of which is a supramajority vote in both houses.
Most likely, this "amendment" never made it past the Speaker/
Pres. pro temp.
Of course, if you believe in government conspiracies, then
either Thomas is not working in a legal fashion, or that this
"amendment" is winding its way very "quickly" through the
House or Senate Select Committees on Intelligence.
And if you do believe that, you are probably too paranoid
to be sending out chainmails.
So that was that,
