I received this petition which looks worthwhile (from my roommate, who is
gay). Anyone know if its a hoax?

Hello all,
I just got this message from a really good freind and source on these types
of matters and I felt it was my duty as a GAY AMERICAN to send this out to
as many as I could.... I'm sorry if this bothers anyone....I know most of
you but there are some on my list that may not know me very well. If you
don't know me, your likely to be connected to me through other friends of
mine..... Please take a minute to read the attached petition and maybe even
sign it if you feel so inspired, you'll be doing a good many of us a great
service.....
