Dr. Joia Mukherjee trained in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, and
Pediatrics at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She also holds a
Master's of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. In
July 2000, she was appointed to the faculty in the Department of Social
Medicine at Harvard Medical School and now works with Partners in Health
(<a href="http://www.pih.org/" eudora="autourl">http://www.pih.org</a>)
in Peru, Russia and Haiti, treating patients with tuberculosis and HIV
and advocating for the equitable medical treatment of the poor. <br>
