WHAT: Protest Finneran Fundraiser
BACKGROUND:
Clean Elections was voted in 1998 by an overwhelming
2/3 of the citizens of Massachusetts! Speaker Finneran,
who runs the State House like his own little banana
republic, refuses to fund it. Might he be afraid to run
against a Clean Elections candidate?
Send a strong message to Speaker Finneran and the Democratic
Party -- We will not rest until Clean Elections is funded.
This Monday, December 10, Speaker Finneran is hosting a
fundraiser at the Omni Parker House in Boston. The fundraiser is
for the Victory Fund, which supports Democratic candidates for the
legislature. Senator John Kerry and Massachusetts Democratic
Chairman Phil Johnston will be speaking at the event.
Please join us in protesting Finneran and rallying for Clean
Elections! And please call Senator Kerry and urge him to boycott
the event because of Finneran's association with it. Let us know
that you called by contacting CPPAX: cppax@cppax.org; (617)
426-3040.
