About the Speaker:
Pervez Hoodbhoy is a theoretical physicist, and one of Pakistan's
notable peace activists. He has published extensively in physics and
in issues relating to science and society. Professor Hoodbhoy has been
actively involved in raising awareness about democratic freedoms,
education, nuclear non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament,
especially in the context of Pakistan and South Asia.
Co-sponsored by The Alliance for a Secular and Democratic South Asia
