The IMF, World Bank and G-20 meeting, originally scheduled for D.C.
Sept 29th, but cancelled, has been rescheduled for Ottawa, Ontario,
for Nov. 17-18. The distance from Boston to Ottawa is almost exactly
the same as to D.C.--maybe a bit shorter in fact. 5.5 hours to
Montreal, then 2 hours to Ottawa max.

I am hoping there will be a bus organized from this area, or maybe
people will carpool.

I think this is an important event on many levels:
1. The IMF, World Bank and G-20 need to know we haven't forgotten about them.
2. Canada is under increasing pressure to regulate laws, including
their open immigration policy, to suit U.S. interests.
3. Officials in Canada (after consultation with US "experts") have
been reacting to Canadian protests with increasing militarism and
breaches of civil liberties. This is NOT in the "Canadian
tradition". Typically, protest has been honored and respected as a
means of expression and process of change.
